CAPITAL GAINS TAX

MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN
15% (no change)

OBAMA
39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that ‘Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.’)

INCOME TAX

MCCAIN
(no changes)
Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $31,250

OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)
Single making 30K - tax $8,400
Single making 50K - tax $14,000
Single making 75K - tax $23,250
Married making 60K - tax $16,800
Married making 75K - tax $21,000
Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!

INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN
- 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

OBAMA
Restore the inheritance tax
Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA

New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren’t high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least….New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

Whether it’s been passed around or posted before is not the point, the point is that it’s the truth! It’s up to you what you think is important.
I’m an independent who votes for whomever makes the most sense and rings the truest.

“We’re not going to get into house-to-house fighting in Baghdad. We may have to take out buildings, but we’re not going to have a bloodletting of trading American bodies for Iraqi bodies.” (source)

Unidentified Reporter: “[On 26 Mar] You said there are areas in Baghdad that you can walk around freely.” McCain: “Yeah, I just came from one.” (source)
McCain’s escort through Shorja was 100+ soldiers, sniper teams, 10 armored humvees, 3 blackhawk helicopters, 2 apache gunships, predator drone coverage; McCain was wearing a bulletproof vest and allowed to take off his helmet only when authorized. (source)

  10. That Guy Says:

  15. CHIHUAHUA MANNEQUIN Says:

When the call comes at 3AM I want a mind who was at the top of their class, who has gravitas and a real intellect. I want a leader who is a scholar who can hold the history of civilization in his head and will read and learn from the past as he charts the future.
    OBAMA 08!!!

  16. The Spirit of Red Says:

Great job, well done! It is important that the facts are out there. And to finish funding the withdrawal of the troops, it IS by cutting taxes. Someone missed that in their classes on economics. The more people working and paying taxes will give increased revenue. We do not need to make the government rich under Obama.

    McCain/Palin ‘08! All the way!!

  17. ronpaul2008 Says:

I will be doing a write-in for Ron Paul, who does not want to waste money on a pointless war for oil.

Also, thanks for collecting all the right-wing propaganda in one convenient list.

  18. canam Says:

McCain/Palin 08. Anyone who thinks Obama’s economic plans will not cripple this country, should go to their boss and ask what obama’s plans will do to their business. Big and small businesses alike will suffer under his plan. When he is done, the government will be taking 59% of their profits. This kind of robbery will send all kinds of jobs off shore. He has no right to limit a companies profits. I think a moron could see his economic plan as a sure disaster. Taxing business will affect anyone with a pension, 401k, savings account, or stocks. If a business pays more of their profit for taxes, that = less return on your investments or any interest bearing account. His supporters seem to think if he gets in they will be getting all kinds of freebies. Not going to happen-he will do the taking, they will do the giving.

  19. ♡ Crysti ♡ Says:

    I will be voting McCain/Palin.

  20. Sopkid84 Says:

Our economy cant get any worse under the current plan its time for CHANGE and YES WE CAN change!!! OBAMA 08!!!! The rupublicans administration has devastated the economy time for the dems plan to see action

  21. foxylilalley Says:

Would pull troops out of Iraq immediately
    JM - No
    BO - Yes

That is the only one I don’t agree with but thank you for giving the information I wanted to make a vote because without this information I would not have voted but John McCain will now get my vote because of all the taxes Obama wants to increase.

Thanks again for all the great information.

  22. Lettie D Says:

You need to go back and relook some of that tax info up Wiz. You can’t pay attention to Faux New. They said Palin had Foreign Policy experience because Alaska was next to Russia. I think you know that that does in no way constitute Foreign Policy experience.

    Obama/Biden
